Clarence Flathead Qualifier Results

The mighty Clarence River played host to the second Flathead Qualifier of 2010. Eighteen teams accepted the challenge, and the Clarence delivered in kind, with no less than 15 five fish limits caught during the session. Hickson Runs and Guns to Clarence Victory

2009 NSW Lowrance Angler of the Year Kris Hickson showed his maiden Taree victory in April was just the start of things of come with a comprehensive wire-to-wire victory in the Bassday Clarence River BREAM Super Series to deliver him his second win for the season and his richest pay day to date on the BREAM tour.

Compiling a 15/15, 8.13kg three day limit to secure the $3,500 winner's cheque Hickson fished a run and gun pattern each day, hitting location after location, as he power fished his way to a full limit and eventual victory.

Ecogear Bribie Island BREAM Qualifier - August 7-8

Following a successful inception in 2009, the Ecogear Bribie Island BREAM Qualifier returns to this popular venue. This event is the second Queensland BREAM Qualifier for 2010, and offers competitors a vast, diverse arena in which to pursue the big bream on offer.

With access to the XOS bream living in Moreton Bay and the Scarborough region as well as some of those monster rack and flats bream up the Pummistone Passage, anglers are set to be challenged throughout the two days. Will defending champion Steve Morgan continue his vein of good form or will another angler make their mark in the race for tournament honours?

Bassday Bonanza for anglers at the Clarence

Michael Starkey and the Frogley crew have once again raised the bar and are giving away a swag of goodies for anglers competing in the Bassday BREAM Qualifier on the Clarence River July 23-25.

Upon registering at the Maclean RSL from 5pm Thursday anglers will receive their Bassday lure pack (approx $100RRP).

There will be a daily prize (Fri, Sat) for the biggest bream caught on either a Bassday or Atomic lure. In all 4 Samurai Reaction rods will be given away.

The Atomic/Bassday biggest bream overall will also win a $550 Frogley's pack including Megabass lures, Unitika lines, Atomic lures.
