Strike Pro Albany BREAM Qualifier - Final Results & Story

Pietsch powers to victory at Albany BREAM Qualifier.

Dror Pietsch, (10/10, 6.305kg) a 38 year old self employed fabricator, secured victory at the Strike Pro Albany BREAM Qualifier. Pietsch catapulted himself from 13th position on day one to overall first position courtesy of a great second day limit weighing 4.035kg.

Baker Tames West and Wins

Albany lived up to its reputation as a West Coast bream strong hold during the W.A. State Title Event of the Daiwa-Hobie BREAM Kayak series. With a quality field turning out it was always going to take a great performance to take the win.

Current Hobie Fishing World Champion Scott Baker, produced another quality performance to take his second win in the west with a quality 6/6 for 2.835 kg.With only a few hours pre fish the day before the tournament, Baker showed his experience as a tournament angler over coming this lack of time on the water and spent the first day searching for locations that where producing better quality fish.

Baker fished his way along the edges of the main basin until he found his money bank late in the session just past the bridge in the King River. Even in his search for quality fish he still weighed in a respectable 1.15 kg for his first day.

Day Two Results Tasmanian Bream Classic 2012
This morning was a little cooler with light North East wind and a good cloud cover. With Team Cranka Blasting through with another great bag to give them a win not only the round win but also the outright win for 2012. The Big Bream went to coxy with a 1.610kg fish. The rouge fish for this round was the old Trout with team Tamar Marine Taking that with a 470mm fish. I had lots of fun running the Classic for 2012 and hope to see you all on the entry list next year.
